A Treadmill Test (TMT), also known as a Cardiac Stress Test, is a diagnostic procedure used to evaluate the heart’s performance during physical activity. During the test, the patient walks or runs on a treadmill while heart rate, blood pressure, and ECG are continuously monitored. As exercise increases the heart’s workload, the test helps identify how well the heart responds to stress.
TMT is commonly used to detect coronary artery disease, irregular heart rhythms, reduced blood supply to the heart, and to assess overall cardiovascular fitness. The procedure is safe, effective, and widely used for diagnosing and monitoring heart-related conditions.
